These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vtu9ja mobile application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for providing accurate information and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Keep your password, transaction PIN and device secure. Do not share your credentials with anyone.
2. Wallet & payments
- Your wallet is funded by transferring to the dedicated account assigned to you. Funds reflect once the transfer is confirmed.
- Service prices, fees and any applicable cashback are shown before you confirm a purchase. The amount payable is debited from your wallet on confirmation.
- You are responsible for entering the correct recipient details (phone number, meter number, smartcard/IUC, etc.). Purchases delivered to details you supplied are not reversible.
3. Transactions & delivery
We process transactions through third-party networks and providers. While most purchases are delivered instantly, delivery times depend on those providers and may occasionally be delayed. Where a transaction fails and value is not delivered, the amount is reversed to your wallet.
4. Refunds & reversals
- Successful transactions delivered to the details you provided are generally non-refundable.
- Failed transactions are automatically reversed to your wallet. If a failed transaction is not reversed, contact support with the reference for assistance.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Exploit promotions, bonuses or referrals in bad faith.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are involved in fraud or abuse.
6. Referrals & promotions
Referral rewards and promotional offers are subject to their own conditions and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Abuse of referrals or promotions may result in forfeiture of bonuses and account action.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, provider downtime or factors beyond our control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vtu9ja is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for losses caused by incorrect details you provided or by third-party provider failures. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of the transaction in question.
9. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time from within the app or by contacting support. Deletion is processed after verifying your identity and settling any outstanding balance, in line with applicable record-keeping requirements.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
